Tony A. Ramirez is the Founder at PlazaSource LLC, an advisory firm that specializes in U.S. – Mexico site selection and economic development advisory services to help metros and states better attract and engage the right companies to help cities grow.

Before joining PlazaSource, Ramirez was Vice President at Borderplex Alliance where he led business recruitment execution resulting in over $1.5 billion in investment and 20,000 new jobs.

Ramirez lends his extensive site selection Go-to-Market experience by matching best fit cities with best fit companies for expanding operations. He has advised companies in industries ranging from Fortune 500 to mid-sized fast-growth tech firms from across the globe. As a co-founder at PlazaSource, Ramirez provided EDO’s with a platform to optimize their city’s sales process to create new jobs and economic empowerment.

Ramirez was named one of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers by Consultant Connect in 2021. He was also bestowed as a Woody and Gayle Hunt Aspen Fellow of the prestigious Latinos in Society Program at the Aspen Institute. Ramirez was also recognized as a top Go-to-Market Influencer of Economic Development in the best-selling book, MOVE: The 4-Question Go-to-Market Framework (Vajre &  Brown, 2021).

Ramirez earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from New Mexico State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
